How to Work with Expert Witnesses in Environmental Exposure, Toxicology and Contamination Cases

Presenter: Michael McCoy, M.S., CIH, DABT, Senior Toxicologist, Center for Toxicology and Environmental Health, LLC (CTEH), Milwaukee, WI

Experts rely on case information such as depositions, interrogatories, and other discovery materials to develop their hypotheses, test these hypotheses and ultimately form their expert opinions.   A well-developed set of data and exposure or contamination information, which is drawn from fact and other witnesses, allows the expert to fully define their opinions and bases for those opinions.  This presentation will help attorneys formulate lines of questioning for witnesses that can assist an expert witness in developing dose or contamination determinations to assess the question of cause in toxic tort and environmental contamination matters.
