When lawyers think about their ethical duties, they typically jump to duties to clients—confidentiality, conflicts of interest, safeguarding their property. But what about others—opposing parties, witnesses, and other parties outside of the attorney-client relationship? Attorneys have a responsibility to interact with third parties fairly and truthfully. This session will cover lawyers’ duties under Wisconsin Supreme Court Rules 20:4.1-4.4.
