Medicaid Basics: Part II: Spousal Impoverishment Rules and Estate Recovery

Part two of this series will go through the spousal impoverishment rules to enable the practitioner to identify issues with spousal assets and Medicaid.  In addition, the post death recovery rules from the State will be reviewed to enable the practitioner to advise a client regarding what the State’s rights are and what to expect if there is an amount to be recovered
