The Duty to Correct Errors

This CLE will focus on a lawyer’s duty to correct errors and the differences between a lawyer’s duty to correct their own errors (including errors by their client or staff) and those made by others. The CLE will also discuss a lawyer’s duty to consult with their client when taking action to correct errors, as well as discussing situations in which a lawyer’s duty to the tribunal supersedes their duty of confidentiality to their client.
