This presentation will discuss how to use a Special Administration in the context of a personal injury, wrongful death, or other type of litigation. Topics will minimally include the limitations of a Special Administration, bond requirement (if any), whether waivers can be utilized, how to proceed if a recovery is accomplished, and how to close a Special Administration. In addition, this presentation may be useful to an individual acting as a GAL in these matters because it will highlight issues that may be resolvable before a hearing.
